Van Jones’ new book, entitled “The Green Collar Economy: How One Solution Can Fix Our Two Biggest Problems,” will soon arrive on bookstore shelves. Read one of the first editorial reviews here. The review appears in “Yes!” As you may or may not know, Van is the transformative and inspiring leader of the Green Jobs movement that is sweeping across this country.

Also in the media today, The “Estes Park Trail Gazette” is running a story highlighting Saturday’s importance as the National Green Jobs Day. Green Jobs Now has reported that over 600 events are planned all across the country to galvanize support for national leadership to bring us towards a greener economy.
Hit the streets, make some noise and notify the media about the need for an urgent commitment to green jobs and an environmentally sustainable economy. The recent Wall Street woes offer an unprecedented opportunity to rethink our economic values and to fully recommit to a newer, greener economy based upon inclusion, sustainability and renewable sources of energy.
Also, NYCELLI is in the process of drafting and soliciting feedback on its Draft “Proposed Green Jobs Legislation” for the State of New York. If you are interested in reviewing and providing feedback on this project, please send me an email with your contact information and a brief description of the work you do and how your insights may be beneficial for the project. We would like to include as many voices as possible.
